To celebrate agriculture and honor the many local producers around Ottawa County, the local Ag Agencies and sponsors are celebrating National Agriculture Week by hosting an Agriculture Community Breakfast. It will be held on Friday, March 20, at 8 a.m. at St John Lutheran Church in Oak Harbor. The cost for the all-you-can-eat scrambled egg, pancake and sausage breakfast is $5. The event is not just for the agricultural community, but open to all individuals and businesses that eat meat, fruit, vegetables and bread, all items grown by farmers!
The guest speaker will be Kirk Bloir, the OSU Extension Assistant Director and State 4-H Leader who assists with leadership and direction of the Ohio 4-H Youth Development Program. He also develops and administers support for Ohio 4-H and provides direction to the Ohio 4-H Foundation.
Proceeds from the breakfast go back into the agricultural community through various scholarships. These scholarships will be awarded at the breakfast. For more information about our scholarship, please call 419-898-3631. For tickets contact the Ottawa Soil and Water Conservation District (419) 898-1595.
