The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded 97 airports across Ohio a total of $64,510,806 in federal funding, including $735,000 for airports in Port Clinton, Put-in-Bay, Middle Bass Island, North Bass Island and Kelleys Island.
The Erie-Ottawa International Airport in Port Clinton was awarded $295,000. The Lake Erie Islands airports each was awarded $110,000.The funds were made possible through the bipartisan infrastructure law, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, which supports travel and commerce in Ohio.
Among the major airports, Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport received $13.7 million; Cleveland-Hopkins International received $11.3 million, and Toledo Express was awarded $1.5 million.
