Local author David Lee featured at Oak Harbor Library

Featured to begin the May events at the Oak Harbor Library, 147 E. Main St., Oak Harbor is an appearance by local author David Lee of “Footprints in a Small Town” and “Imprints Left Behind” on Tuesday, May 3 at 6 p.m. Reminisce about the days when kids were free range.

Jewelry making for beginners is Monday, May 2 at 4 p.m. Supplies are provided. Storytime for preschoolers is held every Wednesday at 11:30 a.m.

Just for Adults:

Craft Monday, Monday, May 16 at 2 p.m. Make a lilac pine cone wreath, all supplies provided. Register @oakharborpubliclibrary.org or call 419-898-7001.

Watercolor on Wednesdays is from 12:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m. Bring your own supplies.

Knitter’s Group on Thursdays is from 9:30 a.m.-noon. Bring your own supplies.

Book Clubs:

“Coffee and a Book” meets on Wednesday, Wednesday, May 11 at 11 a.m.

The 4th Tuesday Book Club is Tuesday, May 24 at 6 p.m., with “A Thousand Splendid Suns” by Khaled Hosseini, a chronicle of 30 years of Afghan history and a deeply moving story of family, friendship, faith and the salvation to be found in love.

Library Hours are: Monday–Thursday, 9:30 a.m.– 7 p.m.; Friday, 9:30 a.m.– 5 p.m.; Saturday 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
