Port Clinton High School announced the Senior Spotlights for October, with All Ohio Leader Madison Wiechman and noted equestrian Arleigh Dackermann selected for the honor.

Madison Wiechman is the president of Port Clinton High School Leadership Council and has been named an “All Ohio Leader” by the OASL. She is a member of National Honor Society and Envirothon Team. As a multi-talented student-athlete, she is the captain of the Cross Country Team and a two-time regional qualifier.

Madison is a two-time district qualifier and part of the SBC Championship Swim Team. In the spring she is a dual sport athlete, playing softball and was part of the 2021 team that won a sectional championship. She is a three-time regional qualifier in track, placing at both the Ottawa County and SBC meets.

Madison competes in all while maintaining her grades to be recognized on numerous SBC All Academic Teams. Outside of school, Madison is also an active member and leader in 4-H as a member of honor court and camp counselor.

Next year, Madison will continue her education by majoring in Wildlife Biology.  She is the daughter of Ryan and Nichole Wiechman.

Arleigh Dackermann has a wide variety of interests and talents.  At Port Clinton High School she is member of Leadership Council and has been part of the orchestra since grade six.

Outside of school, Arleigh enjoys many equestrian activities and is part of the Ottawa County Fair Junior Horse Advisory. She is a member of 4-H and is president of the Four Beats 4-H Club. She travels with her family to many tri-state equestrian shows and competes in Gymkhana events which consists of barrel racing, pole bending, and other timed pattern racing games for horse riders.

It’s no surprise with her interest in horses that she plans to continue her education next year to major in Veterinary Science.  Arleigh is the daughter of Paul and Jenifer Dackermann.
