Magruder Hospital continues to work to keep its patients, staff, and community safe and updated during this time. People should monitor its updates as they become available. If you need a well-visit, or follow up, or are sick but without respiratory symptoms, call your primary care provider’s office.
If you are sick, but normally would not see your doctor, stay home and self monitor. If symptoms get worse (fever, chills, difficulty breathing) call Magruder’s triage line 419-301-4304 for further instruction and a possible emergency room visit. This triage line will be open around the clock.
If you are in need of immediate medical attention, call 9-1-1.
The Pharmacy at Magruder is closed to foot traffic, but the drive-thru will continue filling prescriptions during regular hours.
Patient visitation will remain limited for outpatient, inpatient, ER, and surgery to one designated patient visitor per patient per day, unless end of life or extenuating circumstances are determined by the physician. Visitors must be 18 years or older.
The Fulton Street Café is closed to all visitors. The cafe will remain open and fully functional for staff and patients only.
Magruder will remain open for physician ordered hospital outpatient services at this time, unless patients are directly notified.
If you think you are exhibiting symptoms associated with COVID-19 (fever, cough and shortness of breath), call your primary care provider. Do not travel to a health facility. Do not go to your nearest emergency room unless it is an emergency situation, then call the ER first to tell them of your arrival at 419-734-3131 Ext. 3602. Only patients meeting certain criteria will be tested.
For general questions regarding COVID-19, please call 1-833-427-5634.
Magruder remains vigilant in its decisions for the health and safety of the community, patients and staff. With the latest developments of COVID-19, we are taking several precautionary measures.
Magruder Hospital volunteers should not report for their hospital shifts until further notice.
All community events scheduled in Magruder’s conference center have been cancelled at this time. This includes, but is not limited to, monthly luncheon, exercise classes and support groups.
Magruder will screen visitors at hospital entrances. This screening will include taking temperatures, asking travel questions, and symptoms.
Foot traffic will be re-routed to only the outpatient and ER entrances of the hospital. On surgery days, surgery patients will be able to access the surgery entrance and be screened upon entering.
All other entrances will be closed to public traffic. The outpatient entrance will be open 7 days a week, 6 am – 6 pm, and our ER entrance will remain open 24/7.
Appointments scheduled by patients will remain scheduled and we will continue to accept appointments in all areas of the hospital. All operations of the hospital, for the care of patients, will remain fully functioning during this time, including unscheduled imaging, lab, and cardiac testing.
