The popular MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival will return to the Ida Rupp Library on Friday, Sept. 23 at 10 a.m. and on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 2 p.m. Come watch the finalists and make your voice heard by voting for your favorite movies at the end of each showing. All finalists will be eligible for the Oscar Qualifying Run. Past finalists have gone on to be nominated for an Oscar.

However, the location has also proved to be an ideal spot for crime. Join us for this true crime program where Wendy Koile will discuss crime and her research of the murky waters of Lake Erie.

- Book Pumpkin, Erie Islands Library; 5 – 6 p.m.; Adults. Craft a book page pumpkin by simply cutting the pages of a paperback book, and you’ll create a beautiful pumpkin.
