The scaffolding is in place and work has begun on a renovation of the Marblehead Lighthouse. The Ohio Department of Natural Resources, which maintains the lighthouse property, reported much of the exterior stucco has cracks that needs to be repaired. The work is scheduled for completion in November, said ODNR officials, requiring cancelation of the popular tours of the lighthouse during the annual Marblehead Lighthouse Festival on Oct. 12.
