Margaret Anne “Peggy” Carlson, 83, of Glendale Arizona passed away on Friday, March 27 at Brookdale Senior living. She was born February 23, 1937, in Lakeside to Aloysius and Margaret Carlson.
Margaret grew up in Marblehead and graduated high school in 1955. She attended Bowling Green State University and received a degree in Education. She went on to receive a master’s degree in Spanish from the University of New Mexico.
Margaret moved to Phoenix Arizona where she taught at Melvin E. Sine Elementary School for 33 years. In all she taught grades 3-6 for 38 years and retired in 2000. Because of her love of teaching she continued to tutor children in her neighborhood.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Allen Carlson, and her sister Deborah Shimer. She is survived by her sister, many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.
Margaret will be laid to rest in Sackett Cemetery in Lakeside-Marblehead.
