Margaret Viola Latham, 97, of Tiffin, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 17, at her home. She was born on Oct. 4, 1923, in Port Clinton, to Edward W. and Henrietta C. (Warnke) Wightman. On April 28, 1948, she married Lawrence W. “Larry” Latham and he preceded her in death in 1996.
Survivors include her son, Steve Latham of Tiffin; brother, Jim (Toni Deluca) Wightman of Port Clinton; granddaughter, Mandy Ritter; five great grandchildren; and her caregivers, Sherry Strausser and Nikki Lenz.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; sons, Garold Latham and Larry Latham; brother, Ellsworth Wightman; sisters, Pearl Velliquette and Betty Reinkoester; and grandson, Lenny Lathem.
Margaret graduated from Port Clinton High School and in 1947 she moved to Tiffin. She operated the beauty shop at the State Hospital, was a member of First Lutheran Church and enjoyed wordsearch puzzles, knitting, needlepoint and watching game shows. Margaret loved being at home and spending time with her family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice. There will be no Services at this time. Entombment will be in Seneca Memory Gardens.
