Marilyn Sue Tripp, 77, of Port Clinton and formerly of Columbus, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, May 21, passing away peacefully. She was born May 18, 1946, in Columbus, the daughter of her loving parents David W. and Marguerite F (Nutter) Swisher.
Surviving is her caring husband William Andrew Tripp of 57 years of marriage, married on Aug. 14, 1965. Her Son: Spencer William Tripp and daughter-in-law Becca Lynn Tripp, of Port Clinton; Daughter: Amber Renee (Chris) Lynch of Worthington; her grandchildren who loved her so much and will miss her tremendously, Kaylee “Bailey” Lynn Tripp, Christopher “Bubbie” Lynch, III; her best friend and brother Dale Swisher of Cincinnati; her pets, Peaches her pup, and her cat, Molly; her dearest sisters-in-laws Needie Watson, Judy (Dick) Zimmer, brother-in-law Frank (Bonnie) Tripp. Previously lost brother-in-law, Jerry (Lois) Tripp, Jack (Joann) Tripp, Ronnie (Patty) Tripp, Shirley (Herold) Yinger, Mert (John) Doe, and survived by her best friends, Marleen and Paul Valine and Patty Carter. As well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She graduated from Linden McKinley high school in 1965. She was a 1964 graduate from Nationwide Beauty Academy. She became a beautician for Rose Louise Beauty Salon for many years. She was a member of the First Church of Nazarene of Columbus. Special thanks to pastor Dan from the Church of Nazarene of Fremont for his prayers with Marilyn on her final days and additional thanks to Reverend Bruce Kent of Lapointe Church Family for your prayers and for conducting the service to be held on May 27. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Edgewood Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center staff and social worker Lisa Moore and Southern Care Hospice staff and social worker Gretchen Franklin for your care and compassion during these difficult times.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Parkinson’s Foundation of Cleveland Clinic or The Michael J. Fox Parkinson’s Foundation.
Funeral services and visitation were conducted at Saturday, May 27, at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Located at 1124 Fulton St., Port Clinton, OH 43452.
