
GenoaBank President and CEO Marty Sutter celebrated the new name for the home of the Genoa Comets recently with a ribbon-cutting ceremony to unveil the new branding of the stadium and celebrate the partnership. In attendance were the Board of Directors of GenoaBank, Superintendent Dennis Mock, Co-Superintendent Cody McPhearson and members of the Genoa Area Chamber of Commerce.
GENOA — GenoaBank, a locally owned, independent, community bank, announced the home of the Genoa Comets is now GenoaBank Stadium. Genoa Area Local Schools and GenoaBank expanded their partnership to include stadium naming rights, further strengthening their shared vision and commitment to the Comet community.
“Our children are our future and represent a beacon of hope to all of us,” said Martin P. Sutter, Chairman, President/CEO of GenoaBank. “As a locally-owned community bank, we are here to support the students, the administrators and the overall goodwill of the Genoa Schools. We have been a long-standing supporter of the Comet Community and excited to be the naming partner for Jim Firestone Field at GenoaBank Stadium.
In addition to the ribbon-cutting ceremony, an announcement was held on prior to kick-off of the Genoa Comets vs. Archbold Blue Streak football game. Administrators, school board members and GenoaBank employees gathered on the 50-yard line as the bank was recognized as longtime Comet fans while taking the hometown commitment to heart. The bank shares the Genoa Comets passion for building winning teams.
“It is our hope this sponsorship will bring awareness to our local community bank with the help our business derives from the advertising and a generation of goodwill and a continued connection to the community,” said Sutter. “We are honored to support the local Comet teams and build on the legacy of hometown community banking.”
