CLYDE – There will be a cemetery walking tour at McPherson Cemetery on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 5:30 p.m. No registration is necessary for the free event. All are welcome to attend.

It will be led by Larry Michaels of Fremont and Gene Smith, curator of the Clyde Museum and General McPherson House. Following the tour, complimentary cider and donuts will be served in the backyard of the McPherson House, located across the road from the cemetery on the corner of Maple Street and McPherson Highway (U.S. 20). The tour and refreshments are free, but donations are appreciated.

The walking tour will consist of visits to the graves of notable individuals and military heroes from Clyde and the surrounding area, accompanied by brief accounts of their lives. Parking will be available at the front of the cemetery. The tour will start at the General McPherson Monument.

The tour and refreshments are sponsored by the Clyde Museum and Gen. McPherson House of the Clyde Heritage League.

The Clyde Museum is open on Thursdays from 1 to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The General McPherson House is open by appointment only.
