Mia Sanchez, Claudia Gillum in Port Clinton Senior Spotlight

Port Clinton High School has announced that Claudia Gillum and Mia Sanchez are in the Senior Spotlight for for December.

Sanchez has immersed herself in student life by being involved in numerous clubs and organizations at Port Clinton High School. She is member of both band and orchestra, playing the clarinet in band and viola in orchestra. She was selected by her peers as a member of the Homecoming Court, President of DECA and is also a member of National Honor Society.

Sanchez is a student athlete and four-year member of the Girls Golf Team while serving as captain this year, Track and Field, and a member of the past three Sandusky Bay Conference Championship Swimming and Diving teams.

She is the daughter of Paul Sanchez and Carrie Sanchez. Next year she plans to major in Bio Chemistry at Capitol University.

Gillum is a leader at Port Clinton High School and serves as President of the Leadership Council and President of the Class of 2023. She is a student athlete and four-year member of the volleyball and basketball teams, along with track.

Gillum volunteered her time to help with volleyball and basketball youth camps. A Freshmen Mentor, member of National Honor Society and the Lead Like a Redskin program, and was a member of the 2022 Homecoming Court.

This year she is participating in the CEO program completing an internship with Port Clinton Rotary helping with social media. Next year she plans to continue her education majoring in Marketing with a minor in photography. She is the daughter of Rich and Stacie Gillum.
