Miss Brenda returns to Oak Harbor Library

The Oak Harbor Public Library wants to see you! Stop in at 147 W. Main Street for a visit. They have books, magazines, movies, and newspapers along with take home STEM and craft kits for kids. Story time with Miss Brenda is Back! Bring your preschoolers to the library every Wednesday starting at 11:30 a.m.

The Archery Trailer will be at Veterans Park: It will be there on Thursday, July 29 from 4-6 p.m. Try the sport of archery, and have the chance to learn how to hold a bow properly and to shoot in a safe enclosed area. This program is for ages 8 and up.

Adults are back in the library: On Wednesday from 12:30-4:30 p.m. Try your hand at watercolor. Bring your own supplies and join others who enjoy the art of watercolor.

Thursdays from 9:30 a.m.-noon you can join the knitters group. Bring your own supplies and see what others are making. Monday, July 26 at 1 p.m. try your hand at paper folding. Transform old books into animals. All items needed are supplied.

Check out all the free digital resources on the Oak Harbor Public Library website. If book clubs are more your thing, the library has them. Coffee and a Book will read “One Summer America, 1927” by Bill Bryson for July. The Book Club meets on Wednesday, July 14 at 11 a.m. in the library meeting room. Pick up the book at the library beforehand.

The next evening book club will be held on Tuesday, July 27 at 6 p.m. at the library. Discussed will be “The Pioneers” by David McCullough. Pick up the book at the library beforehand.

The library hours are Monday–Thursday, 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m.; Friday: 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m.; Saturday: 9 a.m.-noon. If you prefer, library staff still offer contactless pickup. For any questions, call 419-898-7001.
