Miss Kitty & the Litter will perform in downtown Port Clinton on Aug. 9.

PORT CLINTON – One of the area’s most energetic bands, Miss Kitty and the Litter, will return to The District stage in downtown Port Clinton on Saturday, Aug. 9, at 8 p.m. The band, which includes Oak Harbor High School teachers Rob Zajac and Jonathan Head, performed on the stage on May 31 and will return for a late summer-break concert.

“We also like to close our summer at the same venue, so this year on Aug. 9, we have our second gig downtown,” Rob said.

The band includes Head on drums and vocals; Rob on bass and vocals; Rob’s wife, Jaclyn Zajac, on lead vocals; and Spencer Eller on guitar. Jaclyn is owner of Little Shop of Hair in Port Clinton, and Eller is the Director of Worship & Technical Arts at The Chapel in Port Clinton.

Miss Kitty & the Litter is a cover band that performs classic hits and modern music.

“We’re a cover band. We play all kinds of stuff, everything from the Beach Boys and the Beatles to today,” Rob said. “We don’t do country, and we don’t do rap, but everything else is fair game.”

The Aug. 9 concert is part of the Main Street Port Clinton summer concert series that features free, outdoor performances from some of the top bands in Northwest Ohio and beyond. Attendees are invited to purchase food and drinks from one of Port Clinton’s exceptional restaurants to enjoy during the show.
