Nancy A. Bailey, 60, of Catawba Island passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 1. She was born March 24, 1961, in Marietta, the daughter of Henry and Josephine (Maiani) Jadwisiak. She graduated from Danbury High School in 1979. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Bowling Green State University in 1985. She met her husband Geoffrey Bailey in the fall of 1980 at Bowling Green State University Firelands and later married on Aug. 14, 1982. They had two children, Erika and Jason, who she loved dearly.
Nancy and Geoff dedicated their professional lives to building and running the Tri-County Appraisal Service. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton. Nancy will be missed dearly at the Port Clinton Yacht club, where she is famous for her Italian dinners, and she spent many an evening or summer day enjoying time with friends and family. Nancy was a dedicated mother who was always there for her children and passed on her love of cooking, Cleveland Indians baseball, and travel. She enjoyed traveling to ballparks around the country to watch the Indians play and most recently traveled to a game in Pittsburg. Nancy enjoyed reading and served her community as a past board member of Ida Rupp Public library, Port Clinton. Nancy had a passion for Ballroom Dancing, especially the Argentine Tango. She was active in Dance Suave and The Ballroom Company and recently competed in her first ballroom dancing showcase.
Surviving are her husband: Geoffrey; children: Erika Bailey of Ann Arbor, Mich., Jason Bailey of Maumee; brothers: Daniel Jadwisiak of Marblehead, James Jadwisiak of Port Clinton; sisters: Regina (David) Kobe of Lake Placid, N.Y., Rita Jadwisiak of Port Clinton, and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother: Thomas Jadwisiak.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 7, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH 43452. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Father James Brown 10 a.m. Thursday, July 8, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 Barclay St. Marblehead, where additional visitation will be held Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton. Memorial contributions may be given to Ida Rupp Public Library, 310 Madison St Port Clinton, OH 43452.
