Port Clinton author Richard Norgard will debut his second Sidney Reed mystery novel, “Road Kill,” on Saturday, Feb. 5, from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at The Arts Garage (TAG). From Bird Dog Publishing of Huron, Ohio, “Road Kill” is the much-awaited sequel to “Trophy Kill,” classic, old-school detective fiction.
Both of the Sidney Reed mysteries take place in Alaska, where Norgard lived and worked as an Army investigator and later as a private investigator. Norgard returns to the atmospheric Alaska setting of his first book, which made readers feel like they had made a trip to wild and woolly Alaska.
“It is exciting,well-paced and sprinkled with that special surly humor characteristic of a hard-boiled detective telling us his story,” said local writer Patrick Lawrence O’Keefe, author of “Cold Air Return.”
