Rockets outlast Gibsonburg

OAK HARBOR – Oak Harbor’s offensive attack was too much for Gibsonburg to handle, and the Rockets won convincingly, defeating the Golden Bears, 72-50, in non-conference action. Oak Harbor (9-7) led 21-14 after the first quarter and 41-26 at halftime.

Jac Alexander continued his stellar play, finishing with 27 points. Three other Rockets finished in double figures – Clay Schulte (14), Gage Brough (13) and Tyler May (11). Jake Foster led Gibsonburg (5-10) with 16 points and Addison Weaver scored 14.

Margaretta routs Oak Harbor, 91-46

OAK HARBOR — Margaretta raced out to a 22-point lead in the first quarter and never looked back in its 91-46 victory over Oak Harbor. The Polar Bears (17-2, 10-0 SBC Bay) led 31-9 after the first quarter and steadily built its lead from that point, taking a 49-21 lead into the half.

Jayden Moore lead all scorers with 20 points, Kennedi Hilton scored 19 and Taylor Maison chipped in with 13. Ryann Steinbrick had 19 to lead the Rockets, Kaitlin Paul scored 13 and Sophia Eli contributed with 11.
