The Oak Harbor Rockets boys varsity baseball team had their away, nonconference game against the Port Clinton Redskins on Thursday, April 10, canceled.

The Oak Harbor Rockets shut out the Huron Tigers 5-0 on Friday, April 11, in a home, non-conference game. This was Oak Harbor’s eighth straight win at home, which snapped Huron’s three-game winning streak. For Oak Harbor, Caleb Baker pitched a shutout, and on the plate, Nolan Bickelhaupt was 2 for 3 with a home run and three RBIs. Brayden Butzin also had two hits and scored a run.

The Oak Harbor Rockets are 3-0 overall. The Rockets have not yet played their first Northern Buckeye Conference game.

The Oak Harbor Lady Rockets softball team was on the road Monday, April 7, for a Northern Buckeye Conference game against the Fostoria Redmen. The Lady Rockets were the winners 20-2. This win is Oak Harbors’ sixth in a row.

The Oak Harbor Lady Rockets had their winning streak come to an end on Wednesday, April 9, as they were blanked by the Otsego Knights 14-0.

The Oak Harbor Lady Rockets bounced back from their loss to the Otsego Knights as they topped the Perkins Pirates 15-1 in a nonconference road game on Friday, April 11. For Oak Harbor, Allie Giezie had three hits and five RBI. Morgan Lalonde had two hits and three RBI. Karder Haas and Hannah Schimmoeller (double, two RBI) each scored three times.

The Oak Harbor Lady Rockets are enjoying a two-game winning streak as they defeated the Genoa Area Comets 9-2 at home in a conference game on Friday, April 11. The Lady Rockets have won seven games by more than six runs this season. For Oak Harbor, Morgan Lalonde was on the mound and surrendered two earned runs on five hits. Tatum Baumgartner was 3 for 4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Karder Haas scored a run and stole a base.

The Oak Harbor Lady Rockets are 8-2 overall, and they are fourth in the Northern Buckeye Conference with a record of 2-1. The team is ranked 85 in Ohio.
