Oak Harbor Club honors first responders on Sept. 20

The Oak Harbor Conservation Club is honoring area first responders with a special free Open House on Sunday, Sept 20 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The public is invited to the event at the Oak Harbor Club House at 975 S. Gordon Rd., Oak Harbor.

There will be safety demos by area law enforcement, EMS and Fire Departments that will include K-9, drone team, radar and laser display, an ambulance (if not in use for emergency), concealed carry information, firearms safety, a crash car demostration, Child ID Cards, how to use a fire extinguisher, BOLO Restraint System and free gun locks. Port Clinton Detective Ron Timmons will talk about detective work.

There will be a Junior Fishing Derby and a Concealed Carry Fashion Show at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., raffles and chicken BBQ while they last.
