Books and book clubs are a big deal at the Oak Harbor Public Library, 147 Main St.,Oak Harbor in April. Also featured will be the Ottawa County Barn Quilt Trail, a variety of book clubs, and children’s programs.
Library hours for April are: Monday-Thursday from 9:30 a.m.-7 p.m.; Friday from 9:30-5 p.m.; and Saturday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Check out free digital resources on the website. Contactless pickup is available. For questions call 419-898-7001.
Meeting rooms available by reservation, Quiet Rooms on a first- come first-served basis. The Local History & Museum Center is open, Thursday from 9:30 a.m.– 2 p.m.

Family Book Bundles, April 2-16 – Pick up preselected bundles of books with different interests and ages in mind.
Jewelry making for beginners – Monday, April 4, at 4 p.m. All supplies provided. Join other library patrons in creating a collaborative piece to be displayed in the library.
Storytime for preschoolers – Wednesday, 11:30 a.m.

Ottawa County Barn Quilt Trail – Saturday, April 9 at 11 a.m. Marcia Jess will share the story of the Ottawa County Barn Quilt Trail and pictures of the beautiful barn quilts.

The 4th Tuesday Book Club is Tuesday, April 26 at 6 p.m. Plain Secrets: An Outsider Among the Amish by Joe Mackall, a respectful account of an Ohio Swartzentruber family’s way of life.
