Oak Harbor Public Library officials want visitors to make the library part of their weekly routine. The library has books, magazines, newspapers and movies available. If you prefer to read, watch or listen online, its digital resources are free.
There are also books to supplement what children are learning at school, whether it’s history, science, math or reading for fun. Take-home craft and STEM kits are also available.
With holidays looking differently this year, pick up holiday books and movies. The library has holiday books on crafting to holiday romance, and holiday favorites like the “Night Before Christmas” to new holiday releases. If you would rather not come into the library, call 419-898-7001 and they will put together a bag of library items for contactless pickup.
Library hours right now are Monday through Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday from 9 a.m. to Noon.
Join library staff for “Coffee and a Book” on Wednesday, Dec. 9 at 11 a.m. via Zoom. Grab your favorite beverage and be prepared to discuss “Lost December” by Richard Paul Evans. Pick up the book at the library to read beforehand. Call with an e-mail for Zoom participation.
