OAK HARBOR – The charming town of Oak Harbor is gearing up for its 46th Annual Apple Festival, a much-anticipated event that promises a weekend filled with fun, food and festivities for all ages. Scheduled to take place on Oct. 11 to 12 in the heart of downtown Oak Harbor, this year’s festival is set to surpass expectations with an impressive lineup of activities and attractions.

With over 100 vendors and food trucks, attendees will have the chance to browse a wide range of unique crafts and goods. Apple enthusiasts will be delighted by a tempting array of apple-themed treats, including apple dumplings, apple butter, apple pies, apple cookies, fresh apples and refreshing apple cider.

Festival Highlights Include:

Saturday’s Excitement: The festivities kick off on Saturday morning with the Opening Ceremonies and the crowning of the Royalty Court at 9 a.m., followed by the Candy Apple Cutie Contest. The Grand Parade, a crowd favorite, will roll through town at 2 p.m. The day will also feature a lively cornhole tournament and conclude with a spirited performance by “The Junk” at the beer tent.

Sunday Fun: The fun continues on Sunday with a jam-packed schedule that includes the Classic Car Show, 4 Mile Relay Apple Run and 1 Mile Kid’s Run. Sunday is also Kids Day, offering young festival-goers a chance to enjoy free crafts and engage in special events hosted at the Portage Fire Station.

Admission to the festival is free, making it an accessible outing for families. To facilitate easy access, a $1 shuttle service will be available from the high school parking lot throughout the weekend.
