Oak Harbor summer concert series returns with popular lineup

The popular Oak Harbor summer concert series on Sunday evenings returns to Adolphus Kraemer Park this month. All concerts are Sundays from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. The 2023 Commodore Perry Federal Credit Union’s Summer Concert Series kicks off on Sunday, July 23 with a one-man-band, Bradley Hoffman.

“He brings a lot of instruments with him,” said Jane Whitaker, president of the Oak Harbor Log Cabin Association. “He plays a lot in the Port Clinton area.”

“We are very excited to have Commodore Perry FCU on board with us to support this concert series. We hope the public will come out to an enjoy an evening of music,” said Oak Harbor Mayor Quinton Babcock.

Vocalist Dave Nike will entertain with a wide range of music on Sunday, July 30, and popular local musician, Mark Wilkins, will perform on Sunday, Aug. 6. The Ottawa County Bluegrass Band will play on Sunday, Aug. 13.

“They have a big following. People love their interactions with the audience and their music,” Whitaker said.

The concerts are held at the log cabin across from the post office on Church Street. Parking is available in the library, local municipal building parking lots or around Kraemer Park. Guests are asked to bring a blanket or lawn chair. The concerts are free, and complimentary snacks are available.
