Step into the enchanted world of Broadway’s modern classic, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, as the Oak Harbor High School Thespians present their production on March 20-22 in the Oak Harbor High School Auditorium.
An international sensation, Beauty and the Beast had a remarkable 13-year run on Broadway. It has been produced in 37 countries worldwide, and was nominated for nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.
The Oak Harbor Thespians will perform on March 20-21 at 7:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. on March 22. Tickets are $10, $8 for seniors and students.
Pre-sale public tickets are sale Monday, March 16 through Friday, March 20 from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at the schools main office. Students can pre-purchase tickets on March 18-20 during their lunch period.
