Oak Harbor is hosting both the Summer Sunday Street Fair and the first of its Summer Sunday Concert Series this Sunday, June 9, in downtown Oak Harbor.
Visitors and residents can start early, browsing food options, crafts and vendors at the Oak Harbor Street Fair from 4:30-7:30 p.m. on Church Street, between Water and Main streets.
Radiant Windows and Remodeling will be handing out free bags of cotton candy to kids 12, and under. There will be food vendors, music, jewelry, crafts, kettle corn, Lion’s Club sandwiches and lots more, said Martha Meyer.
The Oak Harbor Log Cabin Association, with assistance from the Ottawa County Community Foundation, will begin its 2019 Summer Concert Series, featuring the Genoa American Legion Band. The concerts are at Adolphus Kraemer Park in Oak Harbor, across from the Post Office, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Bring a lawn chair or blanket.
This year’s summer schedule of concerts will include the Ottawa County Bluegrass Band stars on June 23; rock and roll with Master T. C. and the Visitors on July 7; the Swingsters on July 28; and will complete the summer concert series on Aug. 11 with the Praise Hymn Band.
