Director Jamie N. Beier Grant resigned, effective today, as Director of the Ottawa County Improvement Corporation (OCIC). Grant had accepted a position with Columbus, Ohio-based The Montrose Group as Manager of Economic and Workforce Development.
In a press release, Grant stated she will remain an active resident of and advocate for Ottawa County.
It also noted that during her 15 years as OCIC Director, Grant has been instrumental in many new initiatives to improve the business community of Ottawa County, including over $800 million in new business investment; leveraging in excess of $40 million in financing and incentives for businesses; and contributing to a comprehensive workforce development program in Ottawa County.
OCIC continues to be the lead economic development agency and an integral contributor to many other aspects of Ottawa County economic activity. The Executive Board and staff thanked Grant for her years of dedicated service to growing the mission of the Ottawa County Improvement Corporation and for her work in creating economic and workforce opportunities for the Ottawa County community.
The Executive Board is in the process of organizing a search team comprised of the Board of Trustees to seek the next OCIC director.
