Tickets are $35 for VIP tastings and $25 for general admission. VIP guests are admitted an hour early for exclusive tastings with winemakers, and receive a wine tote and a cheese plate. Reservations are required. Call 440-466-4417 or visit OhioWines.org, where full details are available.
This year’s event will not only serve some of Ohio’s finest wines but will also be serving the community. The Ohio Wine Producers Association has partnered with the Exchange Club of Fremont to collect items for their Goodnight Bag Project, which collects items to help at risk children that are being removed from the homes and placed in safe houses.
The “Night Night Package” typically contains a new security blanket, an age- appropriate children’s book and a stuffed animal, all nestled inside of a new canvas tote bag. By providing objects of reliable comfort, Project Goodnight Bag reduces trauma and advances the emotional and cognitive well-being of the children they serve.
Every child who receives a Goodnight bag enters the shelter owning a book which encourages reading and foster parent bonding, a security blanket which can be cuddled, and a stuffed animal which can become a cherished friend.
The Exchange Club will have a booth at the Autumn Wine Affair and they will be collecting the following items for their Goodnight Bags:
New children’s books
New smaller stuffed animals
Small toy cars or items that easily fit inside a small bag
Baby items such as diapers, wipes, bottles and pacifiers.
And, of course, monetary donations
Join the Ohio Wines and enjoy a wine tasting that also serves as a community outreach.
