‘Operation Loud Rudolph’ brings Santa, Mrs. Claus to Port Clinton

The Port Clinton Fire Department has a reputation for making quite a bit of noise and flashing its bright lights when its fire trucks roar off away from the State Street Station in an emergency. That is just what Santa and Mrs. Claus wanted recently as they took a ride on a fire truck to greet boys and girls around Port Clinton during “Operation Loud Rudolph.” It seems that Santa wanted the same treatment — a requirement of coronavirus mandates that have nixed crowds for months — that the Easter Bunny received last April for “Operation Loud Bunny.” (Photo by D’Arcy Patrick Egan)
