The Ottawa County Drug Free Collaborative, an initiative of the Ottawa County Family & Children First Council, is pleased to offer “Operation Street Smart” on Tuesday, April 20. This informative presentation by Ohio’s High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) will offer the public an opportunity to learn about the current trends of drugs.
Two options are available: Port Clinton High School Auditorium from 1-4 p.m. and Oak Harbor High School from 6-9 p.m. A “Hidden In Plain Sight” room will be set up, which resembles a teen’s bedroom and focuses on what parents can learn about everyday items that may be indicators of risky behavior or drug use by a preteen or teenager.
Registration is required as seating is limited to 25% at both locations. To register contact Director Margaret Osborne the Ottawa County Family & Children First Council at 567-262-3651.
