The Ottawa County Drug Task Force and the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team executed a search warrant on Wednesday, Feb. 3 at 1308 South Sate Route 19, Oak Harbor, a residence occupied by Eric Robertson. The search warrant was part of a successful ongoing drug abuse and drug trafficking investigation.

During the search agents found suspected methamphetamine and fentanyl, a loaded 9mm handgun, and other evidence indicative of drug trafficking. Robertson was arrested and charged with first degree felony aggravated trafficking in drugs and transported to the Ottawa County Detention Facility. Additional charges against Robertson will be presented to an Ottawa County Grand Jury.

Robertson’s arrest was the result of a cooperative investigation involving the Ottawa County Drug Task Force, Sheriff’s Office and Prosecutors, as well as the Oak Harbor Police Department. The positive working relationship between all agencies made this a successful investigation, said Commander Matt Gandee of the Ottawa County Drug Task Force.
