Airports in Port Clinton and on three Lake Erie Islands will received $633,000 in funding from the Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration. The funding is part of 96 investments for airport improvements across the state of Ohio totaling $49.5 million announced U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown.

Ottawa County airports that received Airport Infrastructure Grant funds: Erie-Ottawa International Airport (Port Clinton) — $294,000; Put-in-Bay — $113,000; Middle Bass Island — $113,000; North Bass Island — $113,000; and Put-in-Bay — $113,000. The awards were made possible by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

“Ohio airports are vital infrastructure supporting travel and commerce in our state,” Brown said. “These investments will enhance safety and operations at Ohio airports and improve travel for Ohio families and businesses.”
