Ottawa County GOP celebrates Ohio’s ratification of 19th a century ago

The Ottawa County Republican Party will be holding a Fish Fry at Catawba Island Club on Thursday, June 13, starting at 5 p.m., with dinner served at 6 p.m. The local GOP will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of Ohio becoming the fifth state to ratify the 19th Amendment, which finally in 1920 allowed women to exercise their God-given right to vote.

Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose will be the keynote speaker. The event will be held in the pavilion overlooking beautiful Lake Erie. Cost is $40. Contact ShirLee Eberle at 419-310-3182 for reservations. Checks may be sent to Eberle at: 325 N. Benton Street, Oak Harbor, OH 43449.
