Ottawa County Summer Youth Employment Program starts

Jun 2, 2021 | Business | 0 comments

Ottawa County high school students ages 14-18 are eligible to apply for Great Lakes Community Action Partnership’s (GLCAP) Summer Youth Employment Program.

GLCAP’s Summer Youth Employment Program, in partnership with OhioMeansJobs, can assist those who qualify and are having trouble finding work this summer. Career coaches are available to help connect participants to local employers who have open positions and are looking for new hires.

“The additional benefits,” said GLCAP Youth Employment Specialist Bonnie Nusser, “are that you will only need to complete one application and, based on your eligibility, our career coaches will find an employer for you. There are also possibilities of working with a small group of your peers.”

Jobs are available at $10 per hour, now through Sept. 30. To find out how to apply, call OhioMeansJobs—Ottawa County at 419-707-8605.

Details are available at www.glcap.org/summerwork.
