COLUMBUS – The state controlling board has approved the release of $345,480.23 for projects in Ottawa and Sandusky counties.

Ottawa County will be receiving $188,887 to support the Camp Perry Joint Military Training Center located in Port Clinton, Ohio. The pre-established construction completion date for this project is set for July 2023. When completes the project will include new cottages, parking areas, a playground and shelter house.

Erie County will see $156,613 for the Department of Veterans Services to complete the Sandusky Renovations project in Sandusky. This funding is both necessary and critical for this project to be completed on time.

“It is wonderful to see both Erie and Ottawa counties receive state funding for these projects and I look forward to seeing these projects through to completion,” said local State Rep. DJ Swearingen of the 89th District.
