MARBLEHEAD – Life at Otterbein Marblehead just got even better. The senior campus, which has long held a commitment to creating opportunities for social connection and holistic wellness for its residents, recently opened a Life Enrichment Center, a 2,000-square-foot, multiuse recreational space that will enhance the daily lives of Otterbein residents.

Otterbein hosted a grand opening and ribbon cutting for the Life Enrichment Center on Dec. 5.

“This space was created to inspire connectivity, joy and wellness for all individuals who call this home,” said Otterbein Marblehead Executive Director Jen Lenthe.

The space will be available for all Otterbein residents who live across the campus, including those in independent living homes and apartments, assisted living, and skilled nursing care.

The Life Enrichment Center, which is brightly lit with natural light streaming into its wall of windows, features a lounge area, fireplace, full kitchen and outdoor patio.

“This facility is going to provide us with the ability to do what we were not able to do,” said resident Keb Bell, who spoke at the grand opening. “I can imagine all kinds of things happening in this room.”

Otterbein Marblehead Assistant Vice President, Angie Powell, thanked the many donors whose generosity contributed to the construction of the Life Enrichment Center, and she thanked the residents for being a part of the Otterbein family.

“We hope this space will truly bring joy to our campus,” she said. “This is a celebration of our commitment to a vibrant community and to enriching the lives of every resident who lives here.”
