The Park District of Ottawa County hosted the Sweet Ride event on July 25. The Sweet Ride took participants on a five-mile ride on the North Coast Inland Trail, beginning and ending in Elmore. Mid-ride, Isaac Smith of the Trust for Public Land discussed the organization’s work and mission. After the ride, participants enjoyed free ice cream cones at Lajtis Lunchbox courtesy of Botson’s Allstate Agencies.

“This was an inaugural event for the Park District of Ottawa County, and it was a fantastic display of partnerships,” said Park District of Ottawa County Administrative Assistant, Sara Hill. “We had a great turnout of families and solo riders, and the weather was very pleasant. A huge thank you to all involved.” (Photo submitted)
