Patricia M. Troxel, 85, of Marblehead, and formerly of Vermilion, passed away Saturday, Nov. 20, at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky. She was born March 17, 1936 in Lorain, the daughter of Nicholas and Agnes (Barthel) Redinger. She married Harry A. Troxel on Jan. 5, 1957, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 20, 1987. Pat was a cook working for St. Mary School in Vermilion, Danbury High School and New Departure, Sandusky. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marblehead, where she was active in the Altar Rosary Society, sang in the choir, was a Eucharistic Minister, and attended the Thursday morning prayer group. She raised Arabian Horses, enjoyed playing cards and was a real jokester.
Surviving are her children Rita (Dale) Daniels of Wakeman, Robert (Nora) Troxel of Norwalk, Peggy (Bruce) Bender of Commerce Twp., Mich., Deb (David Dorobek) Troxel of Los Angeles, Calif., Diana (Mark) Calcagno of Maryland; 21 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Harry; daughter: Michelle Troxel; sisters: Catherine Kelm, Betty Jeavons; brothers: Eugene Redinger and John Redinger.
A Funeral Mass and visitation was held Monday, Nov. 22, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 Barclay St. Marblehead. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion, on Friday, Dec. 3.
