Peggy Pocotte, 90, residing in Sandusky and formerly of Port Clinton, passed away Thursday, July 20, at The Meadows at Osborn Park.
Peggy was born on May 18, 1933, in Woodville, to the late Carl F. and Mary (Evans) Turner.
Peggy is survived by her loving husband, Robert “Terry” Pocotte, of 68 years. She is also survived by her children, Dr. Susan (Dr. Joel Rudinger) Pocotte of Huron, Scott (Nanette) Pocotte, Highlands Ranch, Colo., and Sally (Cal) Jestice of Solon; three grandchildren, Christopher (Maggie) Pocotte, Shawn (Brittany) Pocotte and Brian Jestice; three great grandchildren; sister Polly Rubel of Sebring, Fla.; sister-in-law Jean Turner of Gibsonburg; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Peggy is preceded in death by her brothers Michael and Patrick Turner.
Peggy and Robert lived in various cities in Louisiana, New Jersey, Michigan and Ohio.
She graduated from Toledo Hospital School of Nursing in 1954. She was employed as an R.N. in various hospitals and nursing homes in Michigan and Ohio. She provided professional and compassionate care to countless patients and their families.
In her spare time, she enjoyed many creative activities including collecting antique furniture and glass. She was an accomplished seamstress, an avid quilter and did lots of charitable work through various Lutheran ministries.
The family wishes to thank Dr. T. Williamson and his staff, and the staff at The Meadows at Osborn Park and the staff of Stein Hospice for their compassionate care.
