The $1 trillion appropriations package approved last week by the U.S. House of Representatives included some area funds, including $25 million to repair the seawall at the Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial at Put-in-Bay. Also in the package was $22.5 million for algal bloom research; $36 million to battle invasive Asian carp; and $5.3 million for the Sandusky State Veterans Home.
