The Port Clinton Redskins boys varsity basketball team was in tournament action on Thursday, Feb. 20, with an away matchup against the Perkins Pirates. The third-seeded Perkins was the winner, 87-46. This is Perkin’s first sectional championship in eight seasons as they will advance to play the sixth-seeded Napoleon Wildcats, who are 9-13 overall, seventh in the Northern Lakes Conference with a 6-8 record, and ranked 424 in Ohio.

Port Clinton was on the scoreboard first against Perkins. However, Perkins opened up a 14-7 advantage and led 26-9 at the end of the first quarter. Perkins would score over 20 points in three quarters of the game. For Port Clinton, Martez Wilson scored 13 points. The Port Clinton Redskins boys varsity basketball record is 9-13 overall. They are fifth in the Sandusky Bay-Bay Conference with a record of 3-7 and are ranked 555 in Ohio.

The Port Clinton Lady Red varsity basketball team has finished their 2024-2025 season with a record of 14-9 overall. They are in fourth place in the Sandusky Bay-Bay Conference with a 4-6 record and are ranked 275 in the state.
