Polter Real Estate to celebrate grand opening in Port Clinton

The Port Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Port Clinton are hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house to celebrate the grand opening of Polter Real Estate, 130 Madison St., Port Clinton on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 3:30 p.m.

Jaime and Steve Polter established Polter Real Estate in March 2017 when they opened their first office in Downtown Fremont. The location they chose was a 130-year-old building in disrepair that had not housed a business in over 10 years.

They renovated that building into a beautiful space, which added to the revitalization of Downtown Fremont. The business quickly grew and a second location was sought.

The Polter’s purchased the 130 Madison Street building in Port Clinton in September 2018, which was home of the Wide World Shop. A complete renovation included removing three dropped ceilings, all new electrical and plumbing. The exterior was painted and new storefront glass was installed.

The upstairs apartments are currently still under construction and will be used for short term rentals. Jaime and Steve Polter say they are “thrilled to be part of Downtown Port Clinton. We now have 15 licensed agents and growing, and servicing the entire NW Ohio and North Coast area.”
