
The Samba Joia Percussion Ensemble performs on Friday, June 3 at 5 p.m. at the Meals on Madison area in downtown Port Clinton.
Firelands Symphony Orchestra (FSO) and Port Clinton’s RiverFront Live! will both begin their summer seasons on Friday, June 3 at the Meals on Madison area on Madison Street in downtown Port Clinton. All shows are from 5-6:30 p.m.
The FSO’s Around Town Tour is offering a variety of small ensemble performances at various local events and hotspots throughout the Firelands region. Samba Joia, an Afro-Brazilian percussion ensemble is led by percussionist Dylan Moffitt. Samba Joia has reached audiences through Brazil’s rich and diverse rhythmic culture for over a decade.
Specializing in the samba reggae and batucada styles, the ensemble is an interactive experience for all ages, one beat at a time with upbeat drumming circles and dancing.
