The Port Clinton High School (PCHS) Alumni Association will host PCHS Alumni Weekend, its every-three-years reunion for all graduating classes, on Sept. 27 and 28. The event gives all PCHC graduates the opportunity to connect right in their own hometown.

Alumni weekend coincides with the school’s celebration of its 100th season of football. The celebration will kick off with a recognition of all PCHS alumni football players and a performance by the PCHS Alumni Band on Friday, Sept. 27.

PCHS football alumni are invited to a gathering at the Port Clinton VFW on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 3-4:30 p.m.

The 1974 Wind Ensemble 50th Reunion will be held at the high school on Saturday, Sept. 28. A 60th anniversary of Port Clinton High School, which includes tours of the school, will be held on Sept. 28. A decades gathering, which will be held in The District in downtown Port Clinton, will also be part of the weekend’s festivities.

A private group, led by Malcolm McNeil, is hosting additional events on Sept. 26-29. Events on Thursday, Sept. 26 include chartered lake tours with Gemini Charters, a golf tournament at Catawba Island Club (CIC), and dinner at CIC.

A Miller Ferry ride to Middle Bass Island on Friday, Sept. 27, includes a bus tour of the island, a tour of Lonz Winery and lunch at Island Grind.

The Jet Express Lighthouses & Islands Tour on Sunday, Sept. 29, will feature views of Hen Island, Pelee Island and several lighthouses.

“This is an incredible trip. We’ll go all the way to Canada and see lighthouses north of Pelee Island,” McNeil said.

Information under the Jet Express Lighthouses & Islands Tour link includes a link to a downloadable guidebook that features several pages of information on the area.

“They don’t have to go on the trip to enjoy the sights. They can sit in their easy chair and read pages and pages of information,” McNeil said.
