The popular Art Walks hosted by the Greater Port Clinton Area Arts Council in downtown Port Clinton will fill Madison Street with art lovers on Thursday evening, May 23. With Art Walk themes each month in 2019, the inaugural event will be “Gone with the Birds.”
The 6th annual Art Walks themes on the fourth Thursday nights of the month from 5-8 p.m. this summer include: Scavenger Hunt (June 27); Dog Days of Summer (July 25); Chalk the Walk (Aug. 22); and Port Clinton History (Sept. 26).
Rain or shine, the Art Walks will feature local and regional artists on the renovated sidewalk of Madison Street. Strollers will have the chance to stop at local bars and pubs for refreshments while enjoying browsing the artwork exhibits, listening to street music and visiting local retail shops.
New this year will be the creation of a mural on Second Street, with children invited to help.
