Perkins outlasts Port Clinton, 51-39

PERKINS TWP. — Perkins defeated Port Clinton, 51-39, in a Sandusky Bay Conference crossover game. The Pirates (9-7) held the Redskins (1-13) to just eight points in the first half and led 20-8 at halftime.

Sam Siegel scored 17 points to lead all scorers and Michael Wade finished with 11. Dylan Simpson had a team-high 11 points to lead Port Clinton.

Huron 51, Port Clinton 38

Port Clinton put forth a valiant effort but fell to Huron, 51-38. The Tigers (7-8, 5-4 SBC Bay) led 23-18 at halftime and won the second half, 28-20, to extend its lead.

The Redskins trailed by six points at 42-36 with 3:52 to play but was unable to mount a serious threat.

Drew Wennes scored 14 points to lead Huron and Joey Brown chipped in with 10. Sammy Diaz had a team-high 11 points to lead Port Clinton.
