Port Clinton Boys Varsity Baseball kicks off

The 2023-2024 Port Clinton High School Boys Varsity Baseball season started on March 25. The Port Clinton Redskins were defeated in their non-conference opener as they fell to the St. Mary Central Catholic (SMCC) Panthers 12-1. The home opener for SMCC was highlighted by Garrett Flewelling who did not allow a single earned run and only two hits in over five innings that he pitched. Flewelling also scored two runs and stole a base while going two for three. For Port Clinton, Tre Armendariz scored a run and stole a base while going one-for-one.

On March 28 the Monroeville Eagles handed the Port Clinton Redskins another loss, 10-4, in a non-conference game.  For Monroeville, Colt Clark pitched two innings and gave up no earned runs. Off of two hits, he allowed one walk. Clark would also score a run and stole a base. Clark has stolen at least one base every time he has been on the field so far this season.

The Port Clinton Redskins will be on the road for a week of non-conference games. On Wednesday, April 3 the Bowsher BlueRacers visit Port Clinton for a 4:45 p.m. start time. The Danbury Lakers will play in Port Clinton on Thursday, April 4, at 4:45 p.m. On Saturday, April 6, the Woodmore Wildcats travel to play the Port Clinton Redskins. The game time is 1 p.m.
