There’s a new sweet spot in Port Clinton, as the Port Clinton Chamber of Commerce has a ribbon cutting for Lisa and Joe Kuzma and their Port Cliinton Candy Company.
Strolling Port Clinton’s downtown area has become very popular this summer, with new entertainment venues and retail shops as attractions. That includes the Port Clinton Candy Company, at 130 East 2nd Street in the historic downtown.
Owners Lisa and Joe Kuzma cut the ceremonial ribbon and officially opened their doors to entice candy lovers with a wide array of treats, including their unique Chocolate Walleye.
“A few years ago my husband, Joe, and I decided to leave the large suburban life. We wanted to enjoy our Great Lake and be part of the wonderful city of Port Clinton, which we had visited for many years,” said Lisa Kuzma. “We are now blessed to call Port Clinton our home.
“The idea to open a candy store in Port Clinton started long before our moving here, feeling that this is something the downtown area was missing. Less than two years after our official move, the dream has become a reality.”
Lisa Kuzma said the support from the community has been amazing from the beginning and for that she is forever grateful.
“I could not have brought this dream to fruition without the help and constant support of my loving husband,” she said. “I am excited to provide Main Street Port Clinton with a sweet spot to find the treats from when you were a child, new confections and hard-to-find sodas — as well as some crazy flavors.
“And, of course, our Chocolate Walleye!”
