NORTH RIDGEVILLE — Port Clinton took control of the game in the second quarter and defeated Lake Ridge Academy, 53-29. The Redskins had 10 players score, led by Marie Gluth, who had 11 points. Carli Laurel scored nine points and Grace Heilmann finished with eight.
Port Clinton led 9-4 after the first quarter and took a 19-9 lead into halftime. The ‘Skins outscored the Lions, 15-6, in the third quarter to put the game away. Emma Miller had 19 points to lead all scorers.
Willard 69, Port Clinton 19
Port Clinton found out just how good Willard was as the Crimson Flashes defeated the Redskins, 69-19. Willard held a 14-7 lead after one quarter and then outscored Port Clinton, 35-7, in the middle two quarters to take control.
Cassie Crawford led all scorers with 23 points and Layla Dials chipped in with 12. Taylor Bollinger had six points to lead the Redskins.
Redskins boys rout Genoa
Port Clinton held a steady lead and pulled away in the fourth quarter in its 46-28 victory over Genoa. The Redskins (2-12) led 24-16 at halftime and 33-24 after three quarters before outscoring the Comets (4-9) 13-4 in the fourth.
Adam Thorbahn led all scorers with 16 points and Gavin Preston scored 15.
Willard 86, Port Clinton 41
Port Clinton found out just how good Willard is, falling, 86-41, to the Crimson Flashes. Willard outscored the Redskins, 22-6, in the first quarter and never looked back.
Cooper Parrott had 35 points to lead all scorers and Terry Baldridge finished with 25 points. Adam Thorbahn had 16 points to lead Port Clinton.
