
Port Clinton High School DECA members competed at the State DECA Competition in Columbus on March 11-12, and now will send three national finalists to Atlanta, Ga. in April.
Port Clinton students placed at the Annual DECA State competition (Career Development Conference) held in Columbus on March 11-12, Logan Brown, Mia Sanchez, and Jordan Waddell. Brown took first place in the Hotel Lodging Series and qualified to travel to Atlanta, Ga., in April to represent Port Clinton, and joining hime will be Sanchez, who placed eighth in the State in Human Resource Management Series, and Waddell, ninth in the Principles of Business Administration event.
Brigitte Schroeder and Jessica Waddell were finalists in their events and both placed in the top 25, taking 11th place. Port Clinton DECA students also participating in the state contest were Joseph Apple, Isaac Apple, Olivia Perry, Vicky Provonsha, Joaquin Turner-Heidelburg, Wyatt Siefke, and Madison Wiechman.
Madison Wiechman and Mia Sanchez will also travel to Atlanta to represent Port Clinton in the School-Based Enterprise event in April. Bill Hollister is the PCHS Marketing Instructor and DECA Advisor.
